About Kim

The picture on the left is me at over 330 pounds, before I learned how to E.A.T. I had spent about 40 years feeling guilty for the food that I was eating, and yet I couldn't seem . I knew what healthy foods were, but I didn't like feeling like I was missing out on life and all the good things that food has to bring.

But the reality was, I was missing out on life and all the good things LIFE has to offer. I suffered with arthritis, fibromyalgia, IBS, diabetes, high blood pressure, depression and anxiety (just to name a few). I also developed a rare lung disease and ended up in the hospital in the ICU for 8 days with oxygen levels of 60%! I was on steroids for a year...on top of all the other medications I was taking...to the tune of almost $200 a month. Just walking from the couch to the bathroom made it difficult to breathe and had me in so much pain. I had to sit on a stool to do dishes or make a meal. I napped after breakfast and after lunch and then went to bed early. I had little to no social life because I just couldn't physically keep up. There were no long walks on the beach or strolls through the park; I was always checking the chairs I sat on to make sure they were sturdy enough to hold me; I couldn't fit in the booths in a restaurant; I needed a seatbelt extender in my own car!


And then one day, after doing some research, I found health coaching. Getting my certification has been a God-send! I learned that it wasn't just about the food I eat, it was about WHY I was eating the food I ate...it was about changing my relationship with food. My food obsession had become an abusive relationship for me and I decided it was time to break-up! I let all those negative habits go by creating new, sustainable habits that made me feel empowered and strong. And I dropped 80 lbs!


From my own journey, I created my signature program, Ditch the Diet and E.A.T. I'm the coach that has been where you are. I have felt desperate. I've felt hopeless. I have cried. I've been angry with myself. I've been disgusted with myself. I've ridden the diet rollercoaster.
